Reports circulating online claim that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike collapsed in Abuja due to excessive alcohol intake and was rushed to France for advanced care, with experts warning he may never regain full mobility. However, this information has not been officially confirmed.

Sharing the details, an X user identifed as @ahanaelroi who post has generated over 700k impressions wrote;

“BREAKING NEWS: @GovWike Collapses During Meeting in Abuja Due to Excessive Alcohol Consumption; Diagnosed with Partial Stroke Former Rivers State Governor @GovWike reportedly collapsed during a meeting in Abuja due to excessive alcohol intake. Doctors have confirmed that this incident resulted in a partial stroke, and he has been urgently flown to France for medical treatment.

The situation unfolded dramatically at the Abuja meeting when Wike suddenly collapsed. He was immediately taken to the State House Clinic, where doctors found a high level of alcohol in his system, which they believe triggered the stroke.

Medical experts have warned that his condition may be irreversible, indicating that he might never regain full mobility. In light of the seriousness of the situation, he was rapidly transported to a hospital in France for advanced care, and his prognosis is grave.”

Also, a Nigerian working with a top government official in Rivers State tells Instagram blog Sabi Radio that Wike might not be able to walk again if he comes out alive.
